Former U.S. Senator and Astronaut H. Schmitt on the Great Lakes research

It was no surprise to us that former U.S. Senator Harrison Hagan Schmitt (geologist, pilot, astronaut, administrator, businessman, writer) and his office recognizes the importance of the Great Lakes region research and relevance of the post-glacial climate variability to the modern climate change. In his essay “Climate (Temperature) and the Constitution”, Senator Schmitt cites our work as an example of defining past climatic disequilibrium and its interaction with environmental processes.
